Free Verse

Free verse is easy, but there has to be a system to it. Like, where you pause in a... sentence.

Pretty easy.

I keep a notebook where I write a poem about/for each of my friends, and random things that come to mind.

Beautiful hair-
Nearly black, but barely brown.
Deep eyes-
Rich, warm, and chocolatey.
A smile full of warmth-
even the braces have
their own
effulgence.
A joyful laugh
reminiscent
of summer.
And a heart
full of spice,
love,
and everything
nice.

as i sit here
in the morning
I think
to myself
Why am i up?


Nobody
likes school
so why
do we have to go
for nine months?

i dream...
one day that we will be close
not metophorically speaking
nor figuratively
but phisically
that one day
my hand can graze his cheek
or his hand can graze my cheek
but for now i sit
staring aimlissly
at a black
empty abyss
waiting for him
but of course
i dream...

an archiologist
or historian
something having to do
with history

I think
the poem that
Lara wrote
about her dream

touching
and sweet

don't we all wish

must let go some time

but air?
Will we all hyperventilate?
We're teens, with
too much petty drama
we need technology
and society
and peers to chat
with
And love and hate,
books, home work
broken nails
but most of all
broken hearts
in many
shapes
sizes and
forms

but don't forget
virtual family kingdom
is rising out of the ashes

like a pheinox
but do not fell sad
there shall always
the precious memories

but i can't help
but 'fell' sad
because
vmk was my
life, for so long
it's like losing
a part of me

I miss them like

had to wake

hours
